Amos Kyondu Ngumbi is the Director and Patron of the Amos Ngumbi Foundation, where he
provides strategic leadership and has spearheaded the design, implementation, and
expansion of the Foundation’s multi-sectoral programs across Kibwezi East and surrounding
communities.
A registered Lands Surveyor recognized by the Kenya Lands Surveyors Board and a
member of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya, Amos brings strong technical expertise,
professionalism, and a deep understanding of land governance and infrastructure
development. His background in surveying and spatial planning informs his commitment to
structured, accountable, and sustainable community initiatives.
Under his leadership, the Foundation has successfully implemented programs in youth and
women empowerment, access to clean drinking water, food security, education support,
health and sanitation, infrastructure development, civic engagement, disaster response, and
COVID-19 humanitarian support. Between 2020 and 2021, these initiatives reached tens of
thousands of beneficiaries, strengthening grassroots economic empowerment, improving
access to essential services, and enhancing community resilience.
Amos is passionate about practical, community-driven development that delivers
measurable and lasting impact. As Patron, he remains committed to strengthening
partnerships, promoting inclusive growth, and ensuring that development interventions are
responsive to the real needs of the communities they serve.

Mr. Okumu is a research and development professional dedicated to advancing ethical,
data-driven, and community-centered programming. He provides strategic leadership in
research design, program implementation, and impact-driven initiatives. He is an
accomplished researcher in environmental, health, and social sciences, with expertise in
Grants and Proposal Development, research ethics, data governance, and compliance.
With over five years of experience working with leading organizations such as Amref Health
Africa, Kenya Medical Research Institute, The Global Fund, Africa for SDGs, and ICY Africa,
Mr. Okumu has contributed to the design and implementation of programs aligned with the
Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 on Good Health and Well-Being, across
various counties in Kenya. His expertise spans grants and proposal development, ethical
review processes, resource mobilization, and strategic dissemination, complemented by
strong skills in content development and digital storytelling.
Mr. Okumu is passionate about strengthening ethical research systems, promoting inclusive
programming, and advancing evidence-based decision-making to deliver sustainable
community impact.

Mr. Mutunga brings expertise in research ethics compliance, project management,
government relations, and data protection. His work supports both institutions and
individual researchers in navigating the ethical, legal, and administrative complexities that
arise throughout the research process.
Antony plays a key role in strengthening institutional compliance systems by guiding
organizations through regulatory requirements, including securing the necessary licenses to
legally operate as data controllers, processors, or collectors. He also works closely with
researchers to ensure timely Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals, proper data
management, and adherence to ethical research standards.
With a strong commitment to protecting research participants, Antony helps institutions and
research teams address ethical challenges, establish robust data protection practices, and
ensure that respondents’ rights, privacy, and safety are safeguarded. His work contributes
to improving the quality, credibility, and integrity of research conducted within the
Foundation’s programs.
Antony believes that ethics should be at the core of every research process rather than an
afterthought. Through his work, he strives to promote responsible research practices that
uphold the highest standards of integrity while enabling impactful, evidence-driven
development initiatives

Gladys Muange is driven by a simple belief: projects achieve their greatest success when
they are supported by thoughtful systems, clear processes, and a deep respect for the
communities they serve.
With over seven years of experience supporting programs at the Amos Ngumbi Foundation,
Gladys has worked to strengthen how initiatives are planned, coordinated, and delivered,
enabling teams to operate efficiently while maintaining high ethical standards. During the
COVID-19 period, she contributed to efforts that required rapid coordination, adaptive
systems, and strong community partnership to ensure support reached those who needed it
most.
Her interests include improving knowledge capture, enabling better collaboration, and
ensuring that lessons learned today make future interventions stronger.
